About Us & Our History
The construction of Stella Maris, a significant Catholic retreat centre under the Diocese of Penang, spanned the late 1980s and 1990s. Stella Maris 1, the initial phase of the development, was erected during the latter part of the 1980s. This marked the foundation of the retreat centre, providing a tranquil space for spiritual reflection and renewal. Building upon this initial phase, Stella Maris 2 was constructed in the late 1990s, expanding the centre’s capacity and offerings.
